Kettering Concerts developed a project to commission Elena Kats-Chernin to compose a string quartet - conventional 4 movement structure with a performance duration of about 25 minutes.

The fundraising target was reached. The work has been composed and the score is with the musicians. There may be revisions of course when Elena works with the musicians, first in July and then in September.

The première will be in Kettering performed by the Tasmanian String Quartet on 22 September 2024.
